Frozen Moments Gallery
Frozen moments can be a treat. However, not everyone is a fan of venturing out into the winter elements – especially snow. But doing so can be incredibly rewarding albeit cold! They key to cold comfort is bundling up with the right clothing. From socks to skivvies!
The beauty of a fresh snowfall can be incredibly calming. There’s a stillness which I find rather intoxicating. It’s like everything is on hold. It’s a rare gift these days considering the non-stop cacophony of our noisy world. The sound and feel of fresh snow beneath your feet is for me one of Nature’s wonders. And you know it’s really cold when the snow makes its distinct crunching sound!!
You may see Canada geese hunkered down during a snow storm, or a cold morning sunrise poking through the trees across a frozen lake. A solitary cattail is frozen in time with snow clinging to its fuzzy exterior. Then there’s a snow-covered footbridge which invites you to leave fresh tracks. Then there are moments when it can be so monochromatic that it can be hard to discern the sky from the snowy landscape. Regardless, these photos capture some of those instances.
